How long will Facebook last? I'm currently hooked on words with friends and that is about all I used FB for these days, and to say happy birthday to friends.

It is almost 2 years in the new home and the last of the major remodel projects are complete. You can walk into any room and it is clean and organized. 11 different colors of paints throughout the house. Good thing I kept all the covers with the codes!

Baseball season will be starting soon and we picked up tickets for several games including opening day, patriots day and labor day. I have no idea what this season will hold for the Sox, but I hope they'll be no repeat of last September. I still can't talk about the Patriots last game either!

At this point I just want the Bruins to make the playoffs and the get past the 1st round.

Funny that I've never told anyone that I have a LiveJournal account because it is not in my nature to have this type of online presence. I do have a FB account but keep it restricted to the 100 or so friends in my list.

Last Feb I booked my trip to Aruba and in June we had the best 10 days ever. The only downside was the Celtics losing that 7th game, but since we watched it at Salt & Pepper in Aruba the pain wasn't as bad as being in a bar in Boston or my living room.

The Summer has been eventful with the new house and all the work that we've been doing to add our own touch. The big project was removing enough wallpaper to fill a 55 gallon trashbag. Most of the work was done during the 95 degree days which made the process almost unbearable. It would have been easy to just turn on the central AC but I didn't want to get dust or other pollutants in the vents.

Overall I am very pleased the way the master bedroom has come out and all I have left is to patch the ceiling in the mater bathroom and I can focus on the kitchen.

Yes a boring post, but then again no one will ever read this.

Vacation in Aruba is booked!

Heading back to Aruba in June and we couldn't be more excited. Last year we stayed a week at ABC and the time seemed to go so fast that we were kicking ourselves for not extending our stay. Given the fact that the entire trip including airfare, lodging, entertainment, food and drinks came to $500 each, we could have easily added another week. Naturally that was our first trip and you learn from your mistakes.

This year it'll be a little more expensive since we can't use miles for the airfare and the timeshare isn't a gift but we got a great deal anyway. Divi for 10 days including airfare for $900 each.

I'm already up to date on all the Aruba message boards and have almost a full itinerary planned for our stay, which will probably be pushed aside the minute we land. After all it is all about the beach!

I have to write that in all honesty I don't give a flying fuck about Haiti or its people. The government of Haiti is one of the most corrupt on Earth and the people have nothing to offer. Those who were lucky enough to get to the United States, illegally or not, abuse the welfare system, push drugs or murder honest decent hard working American citizens. Come to America and live for free on out tax dollars is the rallying cry down there. I say too fucking bad that Nature came calling with its destruction. Pick yourselves up and rebuild. Stop crying for handouts! The world owes you people nothing! Go to your corrupt government and get back some of the billions in aid that have been stolen from you. Put down your weapons and work together to rescue the victims and stop looting! Lastly, stay the FUCK out of the United States with your filthy disease ravaged bodies!

Bush, in one of his few public appearances since leaving office in January, told the students that leaving office lifted a heavy burden.

"I no longer feel that great sense of responsibility that I had when I was in the Oval Office. And frankly, it's a liberating feeling," he told seniors from Artesia High School
.


This is proof postitive that Bush is a complete asshole. Here is the guy who in 2004 said the country couldn't possibly do without him in the "war" on terror.  WTF did he accomplish?  A path of disaster and utter despair for millions of Americans!  His fucking family has made billions during the 8 years this jackoff was in office.  I can only hope that he gets anal cancer!
